Living in North Myrtle Beach SC
Find Your Place in the Hometown of Vanna White, North Myrtle Beach SC
Alas, the good old USA is filled with tourist holiday destinations. Surely you've visited a few of these hotspots in your day.
While these places all fun and games to the tourists, it's a bit different when you're actually living in one. I spent a couple of years in North Myrtle Beach SC. Yeah, I'm sure you've at least heard of this tourist trap. Most likely you've been there on spring break or summer vacation. Millions of people flood into this area every year. In short, it's not so grand living in a tourist attraction such as this. The traffic will begin to get on your nerves.
Back when I moved down to North Myrtle Beach SC from Chapel Hill, NC, I really didn't give it much thought. My spouse was offered a great job there and so we decided to give it a shot. In no time at all we figured out what North Myrtle Beach SC was all about. The tourists and their money!
Instead you have an utter deluge of restaurants. In fact, this is what is mostly in North Myrtle Beach SC. Restaurants and surf shops. Of course you have the typical candy and trinket shops as well.
Anyway, when I first arrived in North Myrtle Beach SC, the principal of my daughter's school informed me that a lot of folks come to Myrtle Beach because they like the ocean front so much, but then they have difficulty finding decent work. So be warned in advance, North Myrtle Beach is a South Carolina town lacking big companies and industry. But, I'm sure you can get a great job as a waiter or waitress. Maybe even a bartender.
